The male athletes in the Tu/Th 6:30am class at Deep Eddy Park are stepping up their competitive nature with the addition of 3 new guys in class this month. Part of the workout was to complete as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of the following: 9 American swings, 7/7 KB clean & press, 5 broad jumps, run.

The 6am MWF class at Jack & Adam's partners up and performs kneeling overhead medicine ball throws. Moving from your feet to the knees for a medicine ball exercise forces an athlete to focus on the power and strength behind the throw.

Recipe of the Week- Green Goddess Dressing

avocado
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon herbes de provence
½ teaspoon celtic sea salt
3-5 drops stevia
1 cup water

  1. Place all ingredients in a Vita-Mix (or other high speed blender)
  2. Process on high speed until smooth and creamy
  3. Pour over your favorite salad greens
  4. Store remaining dressing in a glass jar in fridge
  5. Keeps for up to 5 days (if it lasts that long)

Over 80 people came out to the free community workout yesterday morning. Everyone left refreshed and got down and dirty in nature. Teams of 3 performed American swings, overhead med ball situps, & a team run with the kettlebell and medicine ball. Everyone finshed off with team tabata exercises including PVC pipe overhead squats, ball slams, and sumo deadlift high pull. Our next free workout is September 18th.

Unilateral training allows you to increase your focus on the muscle you are working by doing a better job of isolating the working muscle. This increase in focus and intensity will help your muscle building efforts while boosting your strength.
